Garlic Basil Caprese Burger
Aunt Millie's Honey Hamburger Buns


  • 1 package Johnsonville Stadium Honey Hamburger Buns, baked by Aunt Millie's
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 12 oz. marinated mozzarella, cut into 8 slices
  • Lettuce
  • 8 slices tomato

    Garlic Basil mayo

  • ½ c. light mayo
  • ¼ c. packed basil, chopped
  • 1 ½ tsp. dijon mustard
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • Yield: 4 servings


    1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
    2. Gently combine ground beef, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and shape into 4 patties.
    3. Grill patties for 6-8 minutes on each side, topping with mozzarella the last few minutes of cooking. Thermometer should register 165°.
    4. Meanwhile, combine ingredients well for the garlic basil mayo and set aside.
    5. Remove patties from the grill and place on a bun. Top with desired amount of garlic basil mayo, lettuce and tomato.
