Crab Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Cracked Wheat with Whole Grain 


  • 8 slices Aunt Millie's Homestyle Cracked Wheat Bread
  • 1 lb. crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 1/4 c. low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. tarragon, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • Butter

Yield: 4 Sandiwches


  1. Mix the crab, mayonnaise, tarragon, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Top four of the unbuttered sides with the crab mixture.
  4. Top with remaining bread slices.
  5. Cook sandwich on each side until golden and crispy. Remove sandwich from heat and let sit for a for a few minutes before serving.
