Philly Cheesesteak Sliders
Golden Potato Hamburger Buns

  • 1 package of Johnsonville Golden Potato Hamburger Buns, baked by Aunt Millie's
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 c. steak sauce
  • 1 c. beef broth

Bechamel Sauce:

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. warmed milk
  • 1 c. shredded provolone cheese

Yield: 6 Servings

  1. Cook ground beef, onion, red pepper, and garlic in a large skillet on medium heat until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess fat. Stir in steak sauce and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter and whisk in flour, stirring constantly for about 2 minutes. Whisk in warmed milk until smooth. Bring to a small boil so that it thickens nicely. Remove from heat, add salt and pepper and set aside.
  3. Fill buns with meat mixture and top with Bechamel sauce.
