The Aunt Millie’s story is all about family, devotion, and loyalty. Founded by John Franke in 1901 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, our company was originally known as Wayne Biscuit Company. We later became Perfection Bakery, and ultimately, Aunt Millie’s. Through world wars, the Great Depression, and now, two global pandemics, we’ve focused on producing and delivering the freshest, highest-quality bread.
Today, we are proud to remain a family-owned business, founded on strong Midwestern values defined by hard work, humility and a tireless dedication to quality.
From our five bakeries, we produce half a million pounds of bread daily. With a fleet of 600 trucks, we serve hundreds of stores and millions of consumers every day. With a wide variety of delicious products, we make sure there is always an Aunt Millie’s product for every taste.
For 120 years, Aunt Millie’s has remained true to our goal of remaining a family-owned bakery—with the emphasis on the word, “family”. Our employees, suppliers, and retailers are treated like family, shown respect, appreciation, and devotion. It’s a commitment to doing what is right, following the Golden Rule, and serving others.
