Beer Cheese Pretzel Brat
Pretzel Hot Dog Buns


  • 1 package Aunt Millie’s Pretzel Hot Dog Buns
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • ¾ c. ale or dark beer
  • ¼ c. Dijon mustard
  • ½ c. processed cheese or cheddar cheese
  • Dash of hot sauce
  • 6 Johnsonville Smoked Brats
  • 1 cup popped popcorn (optional)

Yield: 6 servings


  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Slowly whisk in the beer, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Add the mustard and cheese, and whisk until mixture becomes smooth. Add hot sauce to taste.
  3. Meanwhile, grill Johnsonville Smoked Brats until heated through.
  4. Place brats in the pretzel buns; top with melted cheese. Finish with a few kernels of the popcorn.
