light brown sugar

In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, maple syrup, brown sugar, pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice and milk until smooth.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides, and let the excess drip off. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread and set aside.

Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Place the coated bread in the pan and cook for about 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Continue with the rest of the bread.
